Who said small kitchens can’t function well?
We had a request from a client to design and build a kitchen that would allow her to cater for her family as well as her home-based catering business. The first problem we had to solve was storage space before ensuring that she had enough prep space. We played around with the work triangle and we had a perimeter of around 14 feet.
To increase efficiency, we used a lazy susan in the corner unit, and added multiple pull-out baskets to ensure minimal wasted space. Counter lighting was required, and we used a built-in recessed handle to define the lines.
